Client portal — request references, search, and board ordering
Four improvements to the client-facing Requests and Board views in the client portal.
Ticket references on Requests
Section titled “Ticket references on Requests”Every row in your Requests list now shows a reference code (e.g. WS-42)
next to the title. Use it when emailing or calling us about a specific
request — it’s the same reference shown on the request’s own detail page.
Searching your requests
Section titled “Searching your requests”A search box now sits above your Requests list. Start typing part of a title, and the list narrows to matching requests — this also matches text in the request description, and in any of your own comments (not internal team notes). Search includes requests that are already done or closed, so it’s a good way to find something you asked about a while ago.
Search results are read-only (no drag handles) and show each result’s reference, title, and status. If nothing matches, you’ll see an explicit “No requests match your search” message. Clear the search box to return to your normal drag-to-prioritise list.
One order, shared between List and Board
Section titled “One order, shared between List and Board”Dragging a request to reorder it — in either the List view or the Board view — now updates the same underlying priority order. Reorder something in the list, switch to Board, and the cards in that column reflect your new order (and vice versa). Reload either view and your change sticks.
Dragging cards into custom board columns
Section titled “Dragging cards into custom board columns”If we’ve added a custom column to your board (for example, “Client Review”), you can now drag your cards into it, and they’ll stay there after a reload. Dragging into one of our built-in columns (Open, Waiting on Client, Done, Closed) isn’t allowed from your side — the card will spring back — since those reflect the actual status of the work. Moving a card into a custom column never changes its status; only its position on the board.
